It’s going on this weekend. Check out the live coverage.
It’s the premier event in the world of long distance running. It’s one of the oldest ultras’s in the world and perhaps the most challenging 100 miler around. The Run is conducted along the Western States Trail starting at Squaw Valley, California, and ending in Auburn, California.
As if running 100 miles downhill wouldn’t be difficult enough, the Western States course features over 15,000 of climbing and 20,000 of downhill…all on gnarly trails.
Scott Jurek, local Seattle-ite (and Vegan!) was a seven-time winner. He’s not racing this year.
